a ministry of San Diego Church of the Brethren
In 2018, seeking to live out denominational values of "peacefully, simply, together," San Diego Church of the Brethren began offering assistance to refugees and asylum seekers. Devoted volunteers provided emergency shelter, transitional housing, transportation, translation, tutoring, in-kind donations, and financial support. Out of those initial acts of welcome, Peace Village was born. Peace Village is an interfaith service initiative of San Diego Church of the Brethren, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization 36-2167026. We offer assistance without respect to race, religion, gender, ability, orientation or background.
